Big Bone Pear Soup

It’s the first time for me to try this dish. It’s a very simple Soup. But if you want the soup to be more delicious, it will take more time to cook it.

First, pour enough water in a deep pot. Put big bone or ribs into it.

Turn to high heat. When water boils, remove the foam floating on surface.

Turn to low heat. Cover the pot with lid. Boil for at least half an hour. In Chinese cuisine, good soup is usually a bit time consuming. I let the bone boil in pot for around one hour. And the soup become milky white in color.

Then add in pear chunks. And boil for at least another half an hour. Sprinkle some salt before serving.

It just needs bone or ribs, pear, water and salt. So it’s a simple soup. But it turns out very delicious. Pear adds sweetness to it. My husband loves it.

Easy, Healthy Roasted Pumpkin

3. Place them in baking pan. Roast for 30 mins.

4. Sprinkle a little cinnamon powder if you like. And roast for another 5-10 mins.

5. Place them in plate. Spread a little salt to strengthen their sweetness.

Ready to serve.

Butter & Honey Roasted Pork Belly

Preheat oven to 180 degree C.

Melt a small pieces ( around 10 g) butter in the pan by medium heat. Then add in 2 tsp honey. Mix them well.

Place a strip of pork belly in the pan. Fry two sides till golden brown.

Turn off the stove. Pour butter & honey into baking pan. Then put pork belly into baking pan too. Sprinkle some salt over pork belly’s skin.

Put baking pan into oven. Roast for around 40 mins.

Cut into small chunks and serve.

Even the skin part tastes very chewy. Meat is very tender.

Yummy Buttermilk Fried Chicken

I used chicken drumsticks. They are small and easy to fry.

Sprinkle a little salt and black pepper over chicken. Massage them a bit.

Place them in a bowl, pour in enough Buttermilk.

Marinate for at least 30 mins.

Here is the Frying powder I used.

It already contains seasoning and spices, that’s why I only used a little salt and black pepper to marinate chicken.

Dip marinated chicken drumsticks in the frying powder. Then dip buttermilk and frying powder again to let chicken double coated by powder.

Fry chicken in oil till golden brown.

Turns out that double coated fried chicken taste more crispy outside and tender inside. Very delicious.

Baked Half Salmon Fish Head

This dish may look a bit scary, but it’s very delicious and easy.

First, sprinkle salt and black pepper over both sides of fish head ( I just used half of fish head). Then let it rest for around 30 mins.

Preheat oven to 160 degree C.

Bake for 15 mins. After that, turn to 200 degree C and bake for another 10 mins. If you want the fish skin to be more crunchy, you can prolong the baking time.

Serve with several lemon slices.

The best part is fish skin. It’s very crunchy. You can hear its cracking in your mouth. And the meat is very tender. My husband was deeply amazed.
